Use Global Search and WorkGraph Context

What this does

Global search helps users find LoopIQ records across work, compliance, testing, security, documents, and operational data. WorkGraph context helps show how records are related, what they affect, and what evidence connects them.

Before you begin

Make sure:
  • you are in the correct organization and team context
  • your role can view the records you are searching for
  • related integrations have synced if you expect external records to appear
  1. Use the global search box in the application header.
  2. Type a keyword, record ID, title, person, repository, release, or phrase.
  3. Review result cards.
  4. Open the result that matches the object type and team you need.
  5. Use filters if the search returns too many records.
Search results are permission-aware. If you cannot access a record, it should not appear in your results. From supported pages, LoopIQ can show related records such as:
  • linked work items
  • incidents and change requests
  • test executions
  • evidence records
  • security findings
  • release certifications
  • documents
  • approvals
Use related context when you need to understand why a record matters or what work depends on it.

Use impact and traceability views

Where available, graph-based views can answer:
  • What is related to this item?
  • What could this change affect?
  • Which work, tests, evidence, and approvals support this release?
  • What is the evidence chain for this certification?

Tips

  • Search by business ID when you know it.
  • Search by title or description when you only remember the work topic.
  • Use team context to reduce noise.
  • If recent records do not appear immediately, wait for sync or refresh the page.
  • If results look incomplete, check permissions and integration sync status.
